OPERATION FREEDOM BIRD was a success for many, if not all, of the participants. They came back with huge weights lifted from their shoulders, caused in part by the cold reception they received upon their return from Vietnam. Totally shameful. BUT . . . we certainly made up for it when they returned to Arizona Monday night!! And, if any of you are ever traveling where Southwest Airlines goes, give them your business. The gift they give these men is beyond words.

When they finally arrived at the hanger, and started down the aisle, wild horses couldn't have kept us in our seats. It was a very emotional, but happy time. I hope they never forget . . .
